Review
I usually don't like trios because I think it lacks something. But this album has changed my views on trios. A trio can be so efficacious when you have players like Bill Evans, Scott LaFaro and Paul Motian. I mean, this is some classy stuff here. It's really good to enjoy this in a cozy little French restaurant with a glass of my favorite Bordeaux. This is a real treat for all jazz lovers. All songs are recommended tracks. I would be inclined to check out some live performances by Paul Motian nowadays and am eager to hear his 8-minute drum solos. Need I say more? This is the classic live trio recording, get the XRCD remastered version or you'll be sorry for the rest of your life.
