Soundtracks
of Clint Eastwood movies never disappoint, this is no
exception. Remember his earlier soundtracks "A
Perfect World" (with a slight country touch and
Chris Isaak singing "Dark Moon") and "Midnight
in the Garden of Good and Evil" (the movie sucks,
but the jazzy soundtrack rocks with Clint and Kevin
Spacey showing their singing talents)? This soundtrack's
main focus is the soar voice of Willie Nelson, portraying
Paul Simon's "Still Crazy After All These Years"
and Sinatra's "Young At Heart" in top non-country
ballad form. These two songs are timeless classics that
no matter when you listen to it, it's like singing good
old love songs to your lover! I'm also glad that my
funky favorites Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley are on
this album. No doubt cuz Clint himself is a funky Dirty
Harry (remember Lalo Schifrin's groovy soundtrack?)!
And the soundtrack ends well with Sinatra's "Fly
Me To The Moon." This is an album that reminds
us why we still listen to old songs and why we are still
crazy after all these years! Like I say...old times
can only be reminisced....
