Have you
ever seen two happier jazz singers? Ella and Louis are
the happiest jazz couple I know and remain my idols to
this day. God, aren't they wonderful? It is wise for Verve
to put out this collector's item. I, for instance, got
it as soon as it was released. I can't wait to hear Armstrong
and Fitzgerald together. Plus, this is remastered. How
can you live without hear Louis and Ella sing: Stars Fell
on Alabama, The Nearness of You, Let's Do It, Moonlight
In Vermont, Can't We be Friends, A Foggy Day, Let's Call
The Whole Thing Off. Wow, what an album! |
