Review A classic.
The reason why the grade is so high is definitely because
it has so much soul w/a perfect cast: Davis, Coltrane,
Bill Evans, Cannonball Adderly. "So What" sets the tone
of the album. "Freddie Freeloader" tells you what free
jazz is all about. "All Blues" captures one's heart and
soul. "Blue in Green" demonstrates how great a collaboration
between Davis and Evans can be. "Flamenco Sketches" makes
you have reflections of your life. This is one of those
albums that never gets mundane no matter how many times
you listen to it. Miles Davis' best album ever. |
