Bebel Gilberto is Joao Gilberto's daughter, and you will hear reminiscence of Joao's voice. Bebel understands Bossa Nova as well as her father and bring a whole new level of depth and dimension into the playing. Uniting with hip artists like Thievery Corporation, Bebel does not forget to enchant her audience with such a warm, delicate voice. Expressive as water, Bebel has things to say through her singing, seemingly telling us that she's enjoying herself, and so should we. The best and most soothing song on the CD is of course, "Summer Samba." You can't help but sing along with it and understand what Bebel means by "So Nice, it would be so nice." May I use the word "charm" to describe her dreamlike sensation, Bebel's Tanto Tempo is a winner and is destined to become a classic. Don't tell me that I didn't recommend this album when it came out. So nice indeed!
